Airports: Two Options

There are two options for airports to fly into the metroplex. Both are around 1 hour 15 mins from Canton and around 1 hour 35 minutes to Emory.

Google Flights’ search engine is a good resource for flight shopping and planning your trip (though we’d recommend checking Kayak.com before you book your flight because sometimes their prices are the best).

Best time to book? On average 7 weeks (50 days) before at Tuesday at 3PM according to this article or this article.

Dallas Love Field Airport(DAL) is located in Dallas, TX and is the major hub for Southwest Airlines(other airlines also use DAL too). It is approximately 65 miles to Canton and 73 miles to Emory.

FUN FACT: Both Drew and Alex worked at DAL on separate projects. Drew managed the second terminal addition and Alex helped with taxiway renovations and a runway conversion!
Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) is located in Grapevine, TX. a multitude of airlines fly into/out of DFW so you may be more likely to catch a non-stop here. It is approximately 80 miles to Canton and 85 miles to Emory.

This is the airport we tend to use for international vacation flights.

A lovely new hotel in Emory, TX less than 3 miles from the WildflowerWedding Venue. This Best Western has 50 rooms available and we are assuming we will fill the entire thing! Book early if you want to stay in Emory. Complimentary bus ride will take you from the hotel to the wedding.

Best Western Canton Inn

This Best Western Inn is a little farther from Emory but a great alternative when the Best Western Plus in Emory fills up. A scenic 24 mile complimentary bus ride will get you from the hotel to our wedding so don’t sweat the distance!

Mill Creek Ranch Resort

This unique resort in Canton features giant Chess, serene ponds, and quaint cabins and cottages. This is the location for our rehearsal dinner and located across the street from the Best Western Canton Inn and the world famous Dairy Palace!
